Abstract Eucalyptus has a variety of species, one of which is E. camaldulensis. The leaves of the E. camaldulensis plant are known to contain terpeniod compounds which are the majority of the content in essential oils, this study tested the levels of essential oil E. camaldulensis by liquid distillation and gas chromatography methods. Distillation of eucalyptus leaves using the steam-water distillation method. Then the refining results in the form of essential oil oil conducted oil quality testing based on the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) eucalyptus oil covers color, odor, refractive index, solubility in ethanol, and sineol levels. Analysis of sineol levels is performed using the Gas Chromatography method. A study was conducted on the quality of eucalyptus oil from various types of eucalyptus and other types. The results of the analysis obtained showed that eucalyptus oil leaves E. camaldulensis has a yield of 1.02% with a compound content of 1.8 – Sineol of 69.44%. The oil quality tests conducted include: color, smell, refractive index, solubility in ethanol, and sineol levels meet the SNI requirements of eucalyptus oil. 2 The results of the E. camaldulensis oil quality study compared to the quality of other types of eucalyptus obtained from the results of lietarur studies do not differ much and meet the requirements of SNI eucalyptus oil. Keywords: 1,8- Sineol, E. camaldulensis, Gas Chromatography, Steam-water distillation
