Abstract

Abstract: Motivated lecturers will encourage students to give and do their best, resulting in good academic results. Pedagogic competence of lecturers will improve the competence of lecturers in teaching professionally. The purpose of this study is to determine lecturers’level of success in teaching by applying fuzzy method using MATLAB software, in order to determine the impact of motivation, pedagogical competence, and final student achievement (GPA). Data was obtained from survey on lecturers of Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Pakuan University, Bogor; as well as secondary data from the quality assurance unit of the faculty.Based on the results of testing the fuzzy Mamdani method on the data, the highest value of teaching success of 8.23 was obtained in 2018 semester 1, which is categorized as high criteria. There are relationships between motivation, pedagogic competence, and student achievement (GPA). These variables increased by a few points each year. Highly motivated lecturers as well as relatively good pedagogical competence will have an impact on the final student achievement (GPA); therefore the success of teaching can be categorized as high.
