Abstract

Abstract Utilization of Agumented Reality Technology to help attract the attention of children because it can present virtually virtual and real time interactive ceremonies about dental health care material delivered so that children can better understand and understand the material displayed. The use of AR technology in educational media is expected to be more attractive to children and make education interesting to follow. This dental health care application uses a markerless method that functions to display animated 3-dimensional dental health care objects by not using special markers for tracking objects in this application using pattern recognition (Pattern recognition). Application built for android mobile smartphone devices. From the results of testing the application compatibility can run on a smartphone with 1GB RAM specification version Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) and above. The minimum angle for detecting pattern recognition (Pattern Recognition) is 45 ° and the maximum angle is 170 ° while the optimal angle is obtained at an angle of 80 ° -90 °. While the distance of the use of the application during the detection process of pattern recognition (Pattern Recognition) can be done very well at a distance of 25-30 cm 3-dimensional objects of dental health care can be displayed perfectly
