Abstract

The teacher is one of the essential aspects of excellent quality education. Teachers with high job satisfaction will show significant effort to achieve school targets and deliver the learning process effectively. Unfortunately, the preliminary research found that job satisfaction among honorary MTs Private Teachers at Sukabumi City MTs is still low. Therefore it needs to study to find several ways to improve it. The purpose of this study is to find ways to improve job satisfaction through strengthening variables that have relationship such as, organizational culture, interpersonal communication, and empowerment. The research method uses correlarional approach and SITOREM analysis method to optimize the improvement of indicators in an effort to increase supporting variables. This study aims to find efforts that can overcome the problem of low job satisfaction by knowing the strength of the variables that are thought to affect job satisfaction, namely organizational culture, interpersonal communication and empowerment, either individually or collectively. The population are all 378 honorary private Tsanawiyah Madrasah teachers in Sukabumi with a random sampling technique and Slovin formula in determining the number of samples, 194 samples were obtained. Based on the results of correlational analysis found that all variables have a significant positive influence on increasing job satisfaction in the following order of competency improvement: Organizational culture (ry/ = 0.558, P <0.01), empowerment (ry3 = 0.450, P <0.01), and interpersonal communication (ry2 = 0.397, P <0.01). The results of the SITOREM analysis also show that job satisfaction can be improved through enhancing organizational culture, interpersonal communication and empowerment. SITOREM analysis results show that job satisfaction can be improved through enhancing organizational culture, interpersonal communication and empowerment. The results of SITOREM analysis find that the components of job satisfaction, organizational culture, interpersonal communication and teacher empowerment that need improvement are: 1) values, 2) strengthening competencies, 3) giving authority, 4) trust, 5)empathy, 6) sportsmanship, 7) work environment, 8) compensation/salary, and 9) promotion. While the components that need to be maintained include: 1) work standards, 2) confidence, 3) understanding of vision and mission, 4) sending information, 5) feedback, 6) commitment to achieving goals, 7) norms, 8) relationships among colleagues, 9) appreciation, 10) openness, 11) work behavior, 12) belief, 13) human relationships, 14) job autonomy, 15) peer relationships, J 6) leadership support .and J 7) mental attitude.
