Abstract

ABSTRACT Stimulance is a compound that affects the Central Nervous System (CNS), can increase concentration and stimulate the CNS to eliminate fatigue. Caffeine is one of the main agents that can be used as a stimulant. Rambutan leaves contain flavonoids which can be an alternative as a stimulant. This study used 25 male mice which were divided into 5 groups, namely the Negative Control group (CMC Na 0.5%), Positive Control (Caffeine 0.52 g / 20 g BW), Dose I (25 mg / KgBB), Dose II (50mg / KgBB), and Dose III (100 mg / KgBB) each group consisted of 5 mice, orally orally by gastric sonde. The results of the study prove that 96% ethanol extract of rambutan leaves is significant as a stimulant enhancer (p <0.05). The negative group had an average survival time of mice as low as 1.6 seconds, positive groups had an average of 140.8 seconds. The most effective dose is Dose III (100 mg / KgBB) as an increase in stimulants equivalent to Positive Control (Caffeine 0.52 mg / 20 g BW) with an average value of mice remaining in rotarod for 128.4 seconds. Keywords: Rambutan Leaves, Stimulance, Mice and Rotarod
