Abstract

Even though writing is learned since students in elementary school but they still make errors and mistakes. It is because the students still have problems with grammatical and mechanical while making a paragraph. This research aimed to find out the effect of using indirect feedback on students' accuracy in writing the background of the study of the research proposal. The research was conducted at English Language Education Study Program of Teacher Training and Educational Sciences, Pakuan University. There were seventeen students from seventh semester as the participants. To gain the research data, the researcher used treatments and post-test. According to the data analysis, it was found that there is an effect of indirect feedback on students‟ writing accuracy. It is concluded that indirect feedback can help the students to write accurately in writing „the background of the study‟.
