Abstract
ABSTRACT Development in globalization has made people in the world including Indonesian people be required to master English as an international language. English itself has four skills that must be mastered those are reading, listening, writing, and speaking skills. In the education system, especially in the school system, there are many ways to encourage English skills; one of them is through a presentation. However, presentation in a foreign language such as the English language is very difficult and requires a long time to develop. This research aims to find out the causes of students’ anxiety in delivering English presentation. Five students are involved as participants in this research. This qualitative research uses descriptive analysis design to describe the students’ anxiety in delivering English presentation. Three steps are used in this research, those are: classroom observation, questionnaire, and interview. After gaining and processing the data, the problems were found out. It was found that the most common anxiety factors are lack of self-confidence, fear of making mistakes (for example, limited in vocabulary, pronunciation, and grammar), and feeling of shame. Keywords: EFL, anxiety, presentation
