ABILITY TO WRITE ANALYTICAL EXPOSITION TEXT ID - eprintsunpak3073 Y1 - 2019/11/02/ N2 - ABSTRACT Writing is one of four language skills which should be developed in teaching English. Writing is seen as a complex process, which must be achieved by the students. In fact, the students still got some difficulties when they were asked to write an English text, especially analytical exposition text. This research was conducted to find out the effect of using buzz groups technique on the eleventh grade students? ability to write analytical exposition text. The writer used Pre?Experimental method with one group pre-test and post-test design. The populations were taken from the eleventh grade students of SMAN 6 Bogor. There were 32 students from class XI MIPA 5 taken as a sample. To gain the data, pre-test and post-test were used. She used some steps to analyze the data and the t-test formula design was used to get the final result. Based on the calculation, it was found that t-test value is 9.03. The value of degree of freedom (d. f) value was 31 and the list of t-table value at significant level 0.05 is 2.04. The comparison of the t-test value and t-test table showed that 9.03 > 2.04. It means that the t-test value was higher than the value of t-table. Therefore, it could be concluded that the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. The result of the research showed that the use of buzz group technique affects students? ability to write analytical exposition text.
