%L eprintsunpak4548 %X ABSTRACT The paper, entitled “The Use of Cue Card on Street Children’s English Vocabulary Knowledge” is aimed to find out whether or not there is an effect of using cue card on street children’s English vocabulary knowledge. Vocabulary is word that has meaning and is combined with alphabet. This research is conducted at the community of Yayasan Pendidikan Mata Pena. In conducting this research, the writer used pre-experimental method with one group pretest and posttest design. Random sampling technique by lottery system was used to take the sample and 25 street children were taken as the sample. The data were taken from two tests: pre-test and post-test. The data were analyzed by using t-test formula. From the calculation, it is found that the t-test value is 6.54. Meanwhile, the t�table value is 2.06 at significant level 0.5 with the degree of freedom (df) is 24. It indicates that the t-value of calculated is higher than the value of t-table (6.54>2.06). It means, the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. In conclusion, that the use of cue card on street children’s English vocabulary knowledge significantly affect street children.
