It is a key of communication. To be able to communicate with others, students need to be able to speak well. In order to make the students able to speak well, appropriate techniques and interesting activities should be used in teaching English. Teaching speaking is one of the major obstacles in teaching English. One of approriate and interesting technique is Story Completion Technique. The aim of the research is to describe the application of Story Completion Technique in speaking class. Descriptive method is used in conducting this research. The research was conducted to the English teacher of Madrasah Aliyah Negri Palabuhanratu. The data were gained from observation, questionnaire and interview. Triangulation was done to check the data validity. The data showed that the teacher of the school could apply Story Completion Technique which is in accordance with what the experts say. She started the class by dividing the class into groups, telling the plot of the story, having the students discuss and divide the story, telling one-three sentences and having the students complete the story.
