Pre- experimental method and one group pretest posttest design is chosen as the research method. The population of the research is the first grade students of SMAN 4 Cibimong. 34 students are taken as the sample and they are asked to do two tests. The first test is about writing descriptive text based on two topics on descriptive text including describing ecotourism place and describing historical building. Both topics are also used on the second test. The result of this research shows that the t-calculation score is 5.65 while score of t-table 2.03 (α = 0. 05) and 2.72 (α = 0.01) based on the degree of freedom is 33. It indicates that t- calculation is higher than t-table both at the level of significance of 0.05 and 0.01. In other words, the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. In brief, “insert comment” feature has impacts on students’ writing ability.
