BLOOD PRESSURE CONTROL PROFILE AND COST-EFFECTIVENESS ANALYSIS (CEA) OF AMLODIPINE AND RAMIPRIL DRUGS IN HYPERTENSIVE PATIENTS AT SUMEDANG REGIONAL GENERAL HOSPITAL. Under the guidance of Nisa Najwa Rokhmah and Nyayu Siti Aminah Lily Elfrieda. Hypertension is a degenerative disease that has a high risk that requires long-term treatment. The choice of drug use for patients diagnosed with hypertension, hospital treatment and the increasing number of doctor visits, have an impact on the high cost of treatment. This is what must be considered from an economic perspective in selecting drugs that are affordable and provide good therapeutic effects. This study aims to assess the picture of blood pressure control and analyze the most cost-effective therapeutic drugs from the use of Amlodipine and Ramipril in outpatient hypertension patients at the Sumedang Regional General Hospital. This research is a non-experimental study with a retrospective study of outpatient medical record data and administration in pharmacy installations. The parameters used are blood pressure and drug costs. The results of the study showed that antihypertensive blood pressure control using Amlodipine 5mg was 28% and Amlodipine 10mg was 44% higher compared to patients using Ramipril 5mg by 8% and Ramipril 10mg by 20%. The most cost-effective use of antihypertensives in hypertensive patients is Amlodipine with an ACER value of Amlodipine 5 mg Rp. 190.89 and Amlodipine 10 mg Rp. 172.36. And obtained an ICER value of Rp. -27.4 and Rp. -44.4 with a comparison of Ramipril 5mg and Ramipril 10mg. From these results, it can be concluded that the use of amlodipine produces better controlled blood pressure and is more cost-effective than Ramipril.
