Skin from peanut land formed by compound organic Which potential to made become arng active. This research aims to find out quality charcoal active with various activation methods and tested based on SNI 06-3730-1995. Chemical activation was carried out by immersion in 0.1M NaOH, 0.1M H2SO4, and 0.1M NaCl, while physical activation was at a temperature of 500⁰C and without activation as a control variable. Results analysis showing Activation best is with temperature 500⁰C with results water content amounting to 3.58%, the results of the ash content were 3.82%, volatile matter 9.55% , carbon content 83.05%, benzene absorption capacity 17.5177%, iodine absorption capacity 753.23mg/g, and metyhlene absorption capacity. blue 120.117 mg/g. Results analysis FTIR showing that charcoal active with activation 500˚C contain structure OH, CH, C=O, And CH, as well as results test SEM showing The presence of varying pore surfaces in activated charcoal. Keywords: Charcoal active, waste skin peanut land, characteristics, Activation, adsorbent. creator: Ujang, Ujang creator: Sutanto, Sutanto creator: Jati Kusumawardani, Linda subject: Kimia description: Quality Charcoal Active From Skin Peanut Land (Arachis Hypogaea ) With Various Activation Methods Ujang Hermawana*) , Dr. Sutanto, M.Si b*) , Linda Jati Kusumawardani, M.Si c*) a)Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Pakuan University, Bogor, 16129, Indonesia *) Corresponding Author: sutanto@unpak.ac.id ABSTRACT Peanut Soil (Arachis Hypogaea) is quite a plant with seeds Which wrapped by skin Enough hard.
