Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter yang terdapat dalam novel Lilin karya Saniyyah Putri Salsabila Said dan untuk mengetahui implikasinya dalam pembelajaran bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif, melalui metode tersebut data dianalisis dan kemudian dideskripsikan, sehinggan diperoleh data mengenai nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter dalam novel Lilin. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yakni teknik dokumentasi, karena datanya berupa kutipan teks. Data yang diperoleh dari hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa novel Lilin karya Saniyyah Putri Salsabila Said terdapat 46 kutipan nilai pendidikan karakter diantaranya nilai pendidikan karakter religius 9 kutipan, nilai pendidikan karakter jujur 4 kutipan, nilai pendidikan karakter menghargai prestasi 9 kutipan, dan nilai pendidikan karakter peduli sosial 24 kutipan. Di sisin lain novel, dapat disimpulkan bahwa novel Lilin karya Saniyyah Putri Salsabila Said memiliki implikasi terhadap pembelajaran bahasa dan sastra Indonesia di SMA, implikasi tersebut melalui pembelajaran apresiasi sastra, dengan mempelajarinya siswa dapat memahami nilai-nilai pendidikan yang terdapat dalam karya sastra. This study aims to determine the values of character education contained in the novel Lilin by Saniyyah Putri Salsabila Said and to find out its implications in language and Indonesian learning. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method, through this method the data is analyzed and then described, so that data regarding the values of character education in the novel Lilin are obtained. The data collection technique used in this study is the documentation technique, because the data is in the form of text quotes. The data obtained from the results of this study indicate that the novel Lilin by Saniyyah Putri Salsabila Said there are 46 quotes on the value of character education including the value of religious character education 9 quotes, the value of honest character education 4 quotes, the value of character education respecting achievement 9 quotes, and the value of caring character education. social 24 quotes. On the other side of the novel, it can be concluded that the novel Lilin by Saniyyah Putri Salsabila Said has implications for learning Indonesian language and literature in high school, these implications are through learning literary appreciation, by studying it students can understand the educational values contained in literary works.
