Outcomes) ID - eprintsunpak8561 A1 - Suwarni, Suwarni A1 - Hendarman, Hendarman A1 - Herfina, Herfina N2 - The School Literacy Movement (GLS) is one of the efforts made by schools to increase students' interest and reading abilities in Indonesian education system. SMP Bina Insani Kota Bogor has been developing the GLS program since 2016. However, so far no research has been carried out to evaluate the program implementation. An evaluation research on the GLS program implementation needs to be carried out to identify obstacles, strengths, as well as efforts that can be taken to overcome problems that hinder program implementation. This research was aimed at analyzing the GLS program implementation at SMP Bina Insani Kota Bogor using evaluative research methods with the CIPPO model which included the components of context, input, process, product and outcomes. It was intended to find out which aspects had gone well and which were still not optimal as well as to make policies for implementing the GLS program in the following years. Data collection was carried out through techniques of interview, observation and documentation studies. Informants were determined using purposive sampling which included school management, the School Literacy Team, teachers, students, parents, alumni, education administrators and the community around the school. Observations were carried out through observing GLS activities, supporting facilities and infrastructure for GLS, events and behavior of objects targeted for implementing the GLS program. The data analysis technique used the Miles and Huberman model, namely, data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions. The findings of the research showed that the implementation of the GLS program at SMP Bina Insani Kota Bogor had generally been conducted very well with an achievement rate of 93.05% using very organized steps. Moreover, this programs showed positive effects on both students? achievements in academic and non-academic fields and characters in terms of discipline, self-confidence and so on. There are implications of this research. First, SMP Bina Insani Kota Bogor can continue this program by improving the aspects of organizational structure and cooperation/partnership on the input component and the aspects of scheduling, monitoring and evaluation, as well as assessment on the process component. Second, teachers are driven more seriously to implement this program. Besides, other schools can see the steps taken by SMP Bina Insani Kota Bogor as a model to implement the GLS program for better achievement and character of the students. Even more, the governments, both local and national can suggest other schools to follow the success of SMP Bina Insani Kota Bogor in implementing the GLS program ER -
