It made schools in Indonesia had to carry out school activities online. When the semester exams came, schools had to conduct a summative assessment via online. Although in Indonesia online assessment was not that new, but in distant learning period, teacher had to do a necessary assessment. This research aimed to know how summative assessment was performed by high school English teacher in pandemic era. This research was conducted at MAS Daarul Fataa. The participants in this research were 40 students, an English teacher, and a vise principal of curriculum of MAS Daarul Fataa. To gain the research data, documentation, questionnaire, and interview were used as research instruments. According to the data analysis, it was found that students, teachers and schools had successfully carried out online exams. Google Form and What’s App were used to be media to support online exam activities. Google Form as the exam media and What's App which was used to provide information about the exam schedule and the regulations that apply during the exam. The type of question used was multiple choice. The normal time to answer the question was 90 minutes, but for students whose signal was not good, they would be let to find out a place that had a good signal and the time was extended to 120 minutes. Not only reading skills, students were also given questions in the form of vocabulary, phrases and vi grammar. All questions cover the material that had been given by teacher and signal quality could affect how quickly students answer questions. Teacher said that the use of online media for exams was considered efficient, because test results were obtained faster. Students did not found any obstacles regarding technology, because they could use technology easily. Then students said that they took the exam according to their own abilities.
