Pre-Experimental\r\nmethod and One group Pretest - Posttest design is chosen as the research\r\nmethodology in this research. The population of the research is the four grade\r\nstudents of SD PERTIWI. Thirty two students are taken as the sample and they\r\nare asked to do two tests. The first test is about reading comprehension based on\r\nthe three topics on descriptive text including Elephant, pigeon, Owl. The second\r\ntext includes My lovely dog, Panda and Giraffe,. The result of this research\r\nshows that the t-calculation score is 7.3 while the t-table score 2.03 (q=0.05) and\r\n2.72 (q=0,01) based on the degree of freedom is 31. It indicates that t-calculation\r\nis higher than t-table both at the level of significance of 0.05 and 0.01. In other\r\nwords, the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is\r\naccepted.
