However, reading interest is still a big problem in Indonesia. This research aims to prove the effect of using the Listen-Read-Discuss (LRD) strategy on students’ reading comprehension. This research applied quasi- experimental method. Moreover, the pre-test and post-test were used as the research design. 60 students from the experimental class and control class of SMP PGRI 3 Bogor were chosen as the samples by using the random sampling technique. Multiple choice were given to the students to measure their reading comprehension. The result of this research shows that the t-test value is 4, while the value of ttable at significanrt level the value of t 0.05 is 1.671 and t0.01 is 2.396 with degree freedom (df) is 58. It can be concluded that the value of tcalculated is higher than value of ttable (4>1.671>2.396). Thefore, it can be described that an alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. To sum up, the implementation of the Listen-Read-Discuss (LRD) strategy affects students’ reading comprehension.
