The capsule dosage form tested contains extracts of broccoli (Brassica oleracea) and gotu kola (Centella asiatica). Broccoli extract contains flavonoids and antioxidants that act as neuroprotective agents, while gotu kola contains asiaticoside compounds known to enhance memory. This study aims to determine the shelf life of capsule preparations combining broccoli and gotu kola extracts packaged in high-density polyethylene (HDPE) plastic bottles and amber glass bottles. The testing method used was the Accelerated Shelf Life Test (ASLT) using the Arrhenius equation model. Testing was conducted under varying temperature and humidity conditions (40°C, 50°C, and 60°C ± 75%) over a period of two months. Observation parameters included physical stability, chemical stability (flavonoid and asiaticoside content), disintegration time, and dissolution rate. The physical observations of the capsule over a two-month period were as follow greenish-brown in color, had a very bitter taste, and a distinct aromatic odor. At week 8, the flavonoid content in capsules stored in HDPE bottles ranged from 1.61 mg/g to 1.98 mg/g, while those in amber glass bottles ranged from 1.36 mg/g to 1.55 mg/g. The asiaticoside content in capsules stored in HDPE bottles ranged from 0.110% to 0.163%, while those in amber glass bottles ranged from 0.136% to 0.148%. In conclusion, the shelf life of the capsules containing broccoli and gotu kola extracts was 1 months, when stored in HDPE plastic bottles, 2 days when stored in amber glass bottles. Keywords: Flavonoids; Asiaticoside; Antidementia; ASLT.
