Conducted at\r\nSMP Negeri 2 Bogor, the research used a quantitative approach with a quasiexperimental design. Two eighth-grade classes participated: the experimental group\r\nlearned through vlogs, while the control group used podcasts. Each group received\r\ntwo treatment sessions, and vocabulary tests consisting of 23 multiple-choice items\r\nwere administered before and after the treatment. The results showed that the\r\naverage vocabulary score in the experimental group increased from 14.94 (pre-test)\r\nto 19.29 (post-test), while the control group improved from 14.48 to 16.77. Since\r\nthe data were not normally distributed, the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test was applied,\r\nand it showed significant improvements in both groups (p = 0.000). Furthermore,\r\nthe Mann-Whitney U Test revealed a significant difference in post-test scores\r\nbetween the two groups (p = 0.000), indicating that the experimental group\r\noutperformed the control group. These findings suggest that vlogs, which combine\r\nboth visual and audio input, are more effective in helping students understand and\r\nretain new vocabulary than podcasts, which rely solely on audio.
