The Effect of Cue Cards as Media On Students' Vocabulary EnrichmentTazkiya SalamahHanaauthorVocabulary is an important component in learning English. Vocabulary will help students master the four language skills. However, many students are bored to learn English because they lack vocabulary and the teaching media is not interesting. Therefore, the media must be attractive, effective and help the students to enrich their vocabulary. One way to achieve it is by using Cue Cards. The aims of this research are to know whether Cue Cards as media have an effect on students’ vocabulary enrichment and intend to investigate different result gained by the experimental and control group. This research is used a quantitative method with a Quasi-Experimental method with Two-Groups Pre-Test and Post-Test Design. There are two groups as experiment group and control group. This research was conducted in SMP IT Al-Muttaqien, Kabupaten Bogor. The population is the first-grade and the sample is A class as the experimental group and C class as the control group which have 30 students in every class. Some statistical calculations are done to analyze the data, and the t-test formula is applied to get the final result. The post score of both groups show that experimental score was higher than the control score and the t-test result of this research also show that H0 was declined and Ha was accepted with the sig value was 0.001 which means that less than 0.05. It means there is an effect on students’ vocabulary enrichment using cue cards as media in the common adjective and the result is statistically significant different. Based on the explanation above, it is concluded that using cue cards as media is effective and it has a significant result.
