	bibo:abstract "Vocabulary mastery is a key aspect of learning English, but many students still have\r\nlimited word knowledge and low retention when using conventional methods. This\r\nstudy investigates the impact of TikTok videos and BBC Learning English videos\r\non students’ vocabulary mastery. Using a quasi-experimental design with a\r\nquantitative approach, the research involved two groups: an experimental group\r\nusing TikTok videos and a control group using BBC Learning English videos. A\r\ntotal of 62 tenth-grade students at a vocational high school were randomly selected\r\nas the sample. Pre-test and post-test were given to assess their vocabulary\r\nknowledge, using 23 multiple-choice and 7 matching tasks related to procedural\r\ntext vocabulary. The results, analyzed using SPSS, showed that the independent\r\nsamples t-test confirmed a significant difference between the two groups (t = 2.346,\r\ndf = 60, p < 0.05). These findings indicate that while both media are effective,\r\nTikTok’s engaging and authentic content helps students learn and remember\r\nvocabulary more easily.
