Some college students still make error in writing argumentative text. This paper entitles “An Analysis of Students’ Errors on Writing Argumentative Text” the aim of this research is to find out kind of errors that made by the students in writing argumentative text. This research is conducted to the fourth semester students of English Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education Sciences, Pakuan University. There is one class chosen and numbers of the students is 27 students. Th writer uses purposive sampling technique in conducting this research and takes five students who made many errors inwriting argumentative text. The writer uses analysis method to classify and describe students’ error in writing argumentative text. The data are gained by analyzing students’ work in writing argumentative text. It can be concluded that the kind of errors found are misformation with 127 errors (44%). The second position is omission with 95 errors (33%), then, additions with 57 errors (20%) and the last position is misordering with 9 errors (3%).
