      "abstract": "This study investigated the effectiveness of the Annotation Strategy and the Story Pyramid\r\nStrategy in enhancing tenth-grade students' reading comprehension of narrative texts.\r\nEmploying a quasi-experimental design, the research involved two groups of students from\r\nSMA Harapan Bangsa. The experimental group received instruction using the Annotation\r\nStrategy, while the control group was taught with the Story Pyramid Strategy. Data were\r\ncollected via pre-tests and post-tests. The results indicated that students in the Annotation\r\nStrategy group achieved significantly higher scores on the post-test compared to those in the\r\nStory Pyramid Strategy group. This suggests that the annotation strategy is more effective for\r\nimproving students' reading comprehension of narrative texts.\r\nKeywords: Annotation Strategy, Narrative Text, Reading Comprehension, Story Pyramid\r\nStrategy",
