Y1 - 2025/// N2 - This study investigated the effectiveness of the Annotation Strategy and the Story Pyramid Strategy in enhancing tenth-grade students' reading comprehension of narrative texts. Employing a quasi-experimental design, the research involved two groups of students from SMA Harapan Bangsa. The experimental group received instruction using the Annotation Strategy, while the control group was taught with the Story Pyramid Strategy. Data were collected via pre-tests and post-tests. The results indicated that students in the Annotation Strategy group achieved significantly higher scores on the post-test compared to those in the Story Pyramid Strategy group. This suggests that the annotation strategy is more effective for improving students' reading comprehension of narrative texts.
