<dc:description>This qualitative study investigates students' perceptions of using English songs to
enhance vocabulary learning. Using a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis,
data were collected through questionnaires and interviews with selected participants.
The study aimed to investigate how students perceive the effectiveness and benefits
of integrating English songs into their vocabulary learning process. Perception itself
is a person's opinion or interpretation of the activities or events. People perceive
things differently from one another because the feeling, thinking ability, and
experience of human is different. Through questionnaires and interviews, participants'
experiences with integrating songs into their English language studies were explored.
Findings indicate that students view English songs as an effective learning tool,
appreciating their rhythmic and melodic elements that engage and aid in vocabulary
retention. They report positive benefits, including improved recall and a more
enjoyable learning experience due to the emotional resonance of music. This research
highlights the potential of integrating songs into educational practices to foster
effective vocabulary acquisition and enhance students' overall learning experiences.
After analyzing the data, it was found that students generally perceive using English
songs as beneficial for their learning style. They reported that learning English
vocabulary through songs not only enhances their vocabulary but also contributes to a
positive learning experience. Additionally, students expressed that the tone and
rhythm of songs create a joyful and relaxed atmosphere during their learning sessions.
