This study aimed to evaluate the performance of a multistage electrocoagulation-based wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) in reducing pollutant parameters of batik wastewater to comply with the quality standards of PERMENLH/BPLH No. 12 of 2025. The WWTP, with a capacity of 100 L/day, was operated using two seriesconnected electrocoagulation reactors equipped with six aluminum electrodes spaced 4 cm apart, powered by direct current at 24 V/2–6 A, with an ascending flow rate of 150 mL/min. Wastewater was pre-diluted at ratios of 2x, 3x, and 4x prior to entering the reactor. Eleven water quality parameters were analyzed following applicable SNI methods. The results demonstrated that a 3x dilution ratio yielded the most optimal operational condition, achieving removal efficiencies of 87.11% for COD, 86.97% for BOD, 79.24% for phenol, 66.62% for total ammonia, 61.32% for sulfide, 79.35% for color, and 68.55% for electrical conductivity, all of which met the prescribed standards. However, TSS (109 mg/L), oil and grease (10.4 mg/L), and pH (9.69) remained above permissible limits.
