      "abstract": "The Cambridge Curriculum is widely implemented in Indonesian schools to \r\npromote student-centered learning, critical thinking, and inquiry-based \r\ninstruction. However, its implementation presents various challenges for English \r\nteachers, particularly in adapting teaching practices, supporting students’ \r\nEnglish proficiency, and meeting curriculum requirements. At the same time, it \r\nprovides valuable opportunities for teachers’ professional growth and \r\ninstructional improvement. This study explored English teachers’ perceptions of \r\nthe implementation of the Cambridge Curriculum at SMA Cahaya Rancamaya, \r\nfocusing on the challenges they encountered and the opportunities they gained, \r\nusing a qualitative descriptive design. Data were collected through \r\nsemistructured interviews with two English teachers who implemented the \r\nCambridge Curriculum. To enhance the credibility of the findings, member \r\nchecking was conducted to validate the researcher’s interpretations of the \r\ninterview data. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis to identify \r\npatterns in the teachers’ experiences and perceptions. The findings revealed three \r\nmajor challenges: students’ limited ability to understand English instructions, \r\nunfamiliarity with academic vocabulary, and difficulties in balancing the \r\nCambridge Curriculum with the national curriculum. In contrast, six \r\nopportunities emerged, including increased students’ confidence in using \r\nEnglish, improved academic English proficiency, enhanced teachers’ creativity \r\nin designing engaging learning activities, improve teachers' ability to implement \r\nstudent-centered learning strategies, an enhanced school reputation, and \r\ncontinuous professional development supported by the institution. The findings \r\nsuggest that although the implementation of the Cambridge Curriculum posed \r\nseveral challenges, it also provided valuable opportunities for teachers, students, \r\nand the institution to support effective teaching and learning.  \r\nKeyword: Cambridge Curriculum, teachers’ perceptions, challenges, \r\nopportunities, English teacher.",
