Abstract
This research aims to find strategies and ways to solve problems and increase the Engagement of Permanent Lecturers of private universities in Bekasi Regency/City, through transformational leadership, personality and job satisfaction. The population in this study is 281 permanent lecturers of universities in Bekasi City Regency with the position of Academic Lecturer 200. The sampling technique uses proportional random sampling with the Slovin formula with an error margin of 5%, the number of samples is 166 permanent lecturers with the Academic Position of Lector 200. The data analysis method used in this study is path analysis compared with qualitative analysis. This study produced the following conclusions: 1). Transformational leadership has a significant positive direct effect both through quantitative research and qualitative analysis on the Engagement of Permanent Lecturers. 2). Personality has a significant direct positive effect both through quantitative research and qualitative analysis on the Engagement of Permanent Lecturers. 3). Job satisfaction has a significant direct positive effect both through quantitative research and qualitative analysis of the Engagement of Permanent Lecturers. 4). Transformational leadership has a direct and significant positive effect both through quantitative research and qualitative analysis on job satisfaction of permanent lecturers. 5). Personality has a significant direct positive effect both through quantitative research and qualitative analysis on job satisfaction of permanent lecturers. 6). Transformational leadership has a significant positive effect both through quantitative research and qualitative analysis on the Engagement of Permanent Lecturers. Without going through job satisfaction as an intervening variable, the Job Satisfaction Variable is not effective as an intervening variable between the Transformational Leadership Variable and the Fixed Lecturer Engagement Variable . 7). Personality has a significant positive effect both through quantitative research and qualitative analysis on the Engagement of Permanent Lecturers. Directly or through job satisfaction as an intervening variable, the Job Satisfaction Variable is effective as an intervening variable between the Personality Variable and the Fixed Lecturer Engagement Variable .
